The Yard is a family-friendly environment with the exception of our 21+ rooftop courtyard, so we encourage all ages. We are a large space with a high volume of guests, so child supervision is required.
We love dogs! We just ask that you keep your dogs on a leash and be considerate by taking them off premises for the necessaries and and cleaning up after them.
Due to the volume and nature of the Yard we do not take reservations, all seating is first come first served. We do offer private and semi-private events. Please see our Events page for more information.
Our parking lot is located on Whitaker St. between 40th and 41st St. There is additional non-metered street parking throughout the neighborhood.
There is no cover to get in! Upon opening your tab, we pre-authorize your card for $5 and then we immediately refund it. This is not a charge, but please be aware that your bank may hold funds in a pending status for 3-5 business days.
When you arrive, you will first visit the check-in booth. There you will swipe your card to set up a tab under your name. All food and beverage purchases within the park will be added to your tab. When you decide to leave, simply visit the back of the check-out booth to close your tab. If you would like to pay with cash, just swipe your card at check-in and pay cash at check-out. If you do not want to use a card at all, please speak with one of our host staff about other options.
The Yard can accommodate up to 3 food trucks at a time, and our truck schedule varies daily . Please see the truck schedule or check our Instagram to find out what trucks we have on site today!
Starland Yard was created to support brilliant local chefs and bartenders. No outside food or drinks are permitted. We do allow a cake or cupcakes for special occasions.
Open alcohol containers are not allowed beyond the downtown/historic district of Savannah (above Forsyth Park). However, Desoto Ave is a private right of way, so folks can bring a drink just outside our entrance (i.e. to smoke or meet friends) but may not turn onto 40th or 41st St. with a drink in hand.
Smoking is not allowed inside the Yard. We provide a smoking post near our front entrance for proper disposal of cigarette butts.

Yes, we are open 7 days a week except for major holidays. We update our online social platforms with closures.
We are open rain or shine with the exception of a State of Emergency. Come by and see us for some rainy day specials!
We have three big screen TVs and throughout the year we show various sporting events. There is no guarantee that specific games will be on unless they are specifically advertised (please see social media). We do have an ongoing relationship with the UGA Savannah Alumni chapter and will show most UGA football games. Starland Yard management reserves the right to play or not play any other games at their sole discretion.
